From Pastor Benard:
Dear Friends
Thanks For Being Part of These Miracles
Dear brothers and sister, we want to appreciate so much what you have done to be part of Friend of Christ Ministry in Kenya. For sure we have seen the hands of God work tremendously in our lives and the lives of all of children in Friends of Christ ministry. It is true that without you people we could have not made any move that long .Thank you for being part of this work God is doing in this part of the world. We love you and we pray for you every day.
As you know we soon will end the academic year. Our school has really improved, Our children can speak better English, have better relationship with teachers and our joy is increasing every day. November is usually the end of our term and we are soon moving to unto a new class which standard six next year. This needs other huge plans for classroom, new teachers, books chairs and many other things. .Soon we are going to sit for the national exams which are our great excitement. We first of all look back and see how God has already stood with us despite of the Crisis we have gone through and we say God you are Ebenezer. Thank you for your faithfulness to serve God. In fact we have been blessed by your gifts, we smile and jump as we see what God has really done, We appreciate so much of you encouragements. Without you we could surely have done nothing. I know very well that God has used you to improve the lifestyle of our orphan children and the widows in our community. Please we want to keep you informed about what God is doing here every now and then. May God bless you and keep you.
We’re excited to announce to you 65 new orphans in the new Friends Of Christ ministry in Wachara village, resulting in a total of 290 orphans, we have in the ministry of Friends of Christ both in Ahero and Wachara.
Praise God that 16 teachers and 4 care takers made commitments to Jesus Christ and have vowed to serve Friend of Christ faithfully.
We now have 290 total registered children and we still ask God to, provide sponsorship to all these orphans so that we can have very easy way of running the school.
Our Joy is that More and more of children are getting to know Jesus as Lord and savior actually not only children but some of our staff members are also converted and have decided to follow Jesus more than 120 orphan children have received Jesus as their personal Savior!
We are still praying for more Bibles to be given to children and families in need.
All our children have not received any health checkups and as you know that children should be treated for health issues. Therefore we pray for God to provide some more funds for check ups. This will make us know their health condition. Though we know insurance is very expensive but checking ones year will be great. And that means we need about $2000 to do that every year.
Development Program
The Leadership Development Program employed 4 more new teachers this year
Our Leadership Development Program appeal was highly successful, We have good plans though it did not work will with us this year again .We worked on a 12 hectares of land this time of the year unfortunately crops failed again. We were really discouraged but we cann’t stop trying.
Malaria Awareness and HIV Test
As you know our ministry needs a lot of keenness due to the HIV and AIDs children. we are trying hard to protect them and encourage them a lot. We do malaria test evry now and then
As you know we live in a Malaria zone, we pray for malaria medication to be in school and In fact we need also more than 1200 lifesaving mosquito nets for our guidance and children which is KSh 650 each.
The Global Food Crisis
As you may know, the rising cost of food is devastating, many families in our programs. And experts are predicting that food prices will not return to previous levels. We have realize this and we need to be careful. we should have in stock Maize which KSh 3300,Rice Ksh 3900 a bag, Suger is at ksh 4500 a bag and some cloths which each child need a dress at Ksh 1000 each and school book will cost us Ksh 189,000.Book for Grad1-6
We are doing everything we can to support Children and families during this difficult time. To help provide immediate food supplies to our orphans families, we have set time for prayer at list 30 minutes every day. We are also working hard to identify long-term solutions to help bridge the widening gap between families living in poverty and affordable food. Despite the current economy, we are still seeing God’s faithful hand of blessing on this ministry and we ask God to give us strength. As you know this a very busy month with lots of programs for Christmas and Thanksgiving holyday coming a head of us . We are praying for God’s provision for Christmas gifts for our orphans and guidance. We hope God will touch people’s heart to provide Gifts and we believe we shall enjoy with our children together. We wish you a merry Christmas and happy new year.

We are preparing to send more money for a food distribution for Christmas this year, like we did last year. Please consider contributing to this cause that is so well received and appreciated by those who have so little.
Pastor Benard is building a kitchen and cafeteria for the orphans as required by the government. Here is an email we received about the about the update on the progress so far, but more funds are still needed to complete it.
Hello Cathy,
Blessings from Kenya.Hope you and your family are all ok. Pamela and I are all doing very well. Thank for the money you sent. We have done a lot. We have done the plastering both floor and wall and fixed all the glass windows, and installed the first faze of electric wires. Now we have to fix water, ceiling board, painting and other things. We are very exited with the building and we thank you all. The orphan guardians were very happy with the gifts. We hope to give some thing again before the Christmas day if God will provide. Our girls in school have grown and boys too. We are still praying for more facilities and for the dorm for there aremany more children we can not find houseing for. We need to see how we can help them stay closer to school. Pamela is working very hard in the new school and I appreciate her a lot. Our teachers are working very hard and all of our children are spiritually growing. Please continue to pray with us. We are pray for you. Please send our love to Pastor Don and all friends there.

God's Little Ones continues to help Pastor Benard with his orphan program, and we are also helping Pastor Vitalis Odoyo Ondu, in Kisumu, Kenya to build an orphan school for children who are currently meeting in a church. Previously we have helped Pastor Vitalis to furnish food and teaching materials, for an existing orphan school that we visited during our last trip to Kenya.

Pastor Benard has returned to Kenya and during his stay here he spoke at many churches and small groups. He was also featured on several local television shows. Many of his books were sold and awareness was raised about the children and pastors he helps. His wife Pamela returned back to Kenya early as their daughter Ruth was very ill. She is still not well and we ask for your prayers.
